Cutting Board Care

Our cutting and charcuterie boards are sanded to a very fine texture and finished with food grade mineral oil and beeswax. Proper care of your board should be followed to retain the quality surface. 

  • Hand wash your board with warm water and mild soap
  • Do not soak the board and never wash in a dishwasher
  • Occasionally apply food grade mineral oil or butcher block wax to retain water resistance and appearance (more often the better)

We now offer our shop made cutting board conditioner made from food grade mineral oil and organic beeswax. You can buy 4 oz. tins here:

You can also easily make your own by melting 1 part beeswax with 3 parts mineral oil. Store this in a Mason jar, and keep handy. This is also good to apply to all of your wooden spoons and utensils.
