Time to work on some bigger stuff. Nice slab of hard maple, future coffee table. Sapele is gorgeous! I’d never worked with it much at all. A lot of acoustic guitar backs and sides are made from this. This Sunday, 12/18 12noon - 4pm. Francis Park @rockwellbeergarden . Come see us! Last market of the year. Come see me tomorrow @theboulevardstlouis 12-5. Got a batch of boards headed to Jeff City tonight. Go grab these along with some fine meats from @steeles_meats next week before Thanksgiving. I did a few MO boards with maple star inlays for the Capital City. #woodworking #sidehustle #wegotthemeats #cuttingboard Hey, look at what was featured in @midwestlivingmag !! My pins, Y’all!! Thanks @adoylestl for the pitch! #holidaygift #woodworking #woodturning #sidehustle #shamelesspromotion Well, no one hated them, so I made them. Now my French rolling pins come with a nifty little drawstring sleeve. I even added a leather tag. Fabric will vary. These suckers are headed to Midwest Living Magazine for a photo shoot. #sidehustle #makersgonnamake #baking #frenchrollingpin #woodworking #woodturning Do you guys think adding a drawstring sleeve (sewn by yours truly) to my French rolling pins is worthwhile? Does it add value? Would it be reused or just thrown away? Let me know whatcha think. *Disregard the screwup at the top. It’s like my 2nd time sewing since Jr High home economics class. It’s been a crazy last few weeks handling life changes and adjusting to a “new normal” (I hate that term so much, but it’s incredibly fitting right now). All is good, it’s just different. I’m thankful for my patient clients, including @georgian_todd for giving me the time to work through personal life and these projects that have been delayed due to it. Here’s a nice lot of cherry charcuterie boards freshly oiled and drying. I hope to be back at the markets soon.
